About me
I am an emerging artist and illustrator from Birmingham. I studied Art and Design at Walsall College and then went on to earn a BA(Hons) in Graphic and Communication Design from the University of Leeds in 2022. I have since gained experience in marketing, design and education and continue to integrate my creative practice across all three.
My Work
Behind every finished artwork is a mixed-media piece that sets the foundation with the initial shapes and textures. While I’m a big fan of digital media, there’s nothing quite like the depth and unpredictability of real materials. After creating these tactile elements, I scan them and use Procreate to bring in the finer details.
I enjoy recreating architectural landmarks because there is always more than meets the eye. There are so many patterns and textures to be found, whether it be the materials used, the signs of natural wear and tear or intentional design choices; this is something I like to focus on when creating my pieces. These elements often hold memories and connections for people, and I enjoy hearing those personal reflections when they engage with my work.
In 2024, I placed third in the BAA Calling All Creatives competition, and last year, I was selected to be part of the Birmingham Open 25 exhibition in Victoria Square. This year, I am excited to announce that I am the headline artist for Healing Arts Birmingham and have created the official poster for the event.
I regularly sell my work at markets and events across Birmingham; find out more here.
