BAA Calling All Creatives Competition 2024| Third Place

The Calling All Creatives Competition is an annual event organised by the Birmingham Architectural Association (BAA) to celebrate the city’s creative community. Open to a wide range of disciplines, the competition invites submissions that respond to a central theme, with the selected works showcased during an exhibition evening where the winners are also announced.

This year, the theme was “Capturing the Essence of Birmingham” where I decided to submit my interpretation of Ozzy the bull. I am proud to announce that he placed third in the competition!

It was very inspiring to be surrounded by such a talented group of creatives. The level of work submitted across all disciplines was incredible, and I’m grateful to have been part of such an amazing showcase.

Ozzy has quickly become one of my most loved pieces in my Birmingham series. I created him as a way to bring cohesion to my work and celebrate Birmingham as a whole. I'm incredibly honoured by the recognition he’s received.
