This print is a blend of traditional and digital techniques. I started with a collage that blends natural and man-made imagery from magazines, reflecting the city’s diverse spaces and landscape. Using acrylic paint and pens, I created the distinctive circular patterns from the Birmingham Library’s façade, subtly weaving them throughout the piece. I then digitally painted further details and colour to shape the iconic bull.
As a long-standing symbol of Birmingham, I felt the bull serves as the perfect centrepiece to unite my work and celebrate my home city.
